about

Blues for Agnes is a jazz EP containing three tracks recorded during the making of the New Bop Brigade's eponymous album, New Bop Brigade. The title track, "Blues for Agnes," is a modified blues that was intended to be part of New Bop Brigade, but it was cut from the album due to space constraints on the disc. "On the Road With Agnes" is a simplified version of the melody from "Blues for Agnes," and parts one and two of "On the Road With Agnes" were intended to be used in an indie movie soundtrack. All three tracks were recorded in one take. Agnes, pictured in the EP's cover art, was found on the roadside somewhere in King County, WA.
